TRUTH

  Long time..again...I am sorry about that. I will say, I have joined a Bible study at the church we attend and I am loving it. It, along with our Pastor's series, Choosing Joy, has been exactly what I needed at this time in my life.  So, I am going to share a list of truths that Priscilla Shirer shares with us in this study, Armor Of God (which I HIGHLY recommend)  Then, I am going to commit to sharing 1 of them each week for the next month, at least. I will add some truths I found that spoke to me as well. So, if you struggle with lies, with depression, with self doubt, with feeling unworthy, with self hate, with anything like that, tune in and follow!!!! I will title each new entry with TRUTH 1 then TRUTH 2, etc. So, when you come back each week, press (Control F) at the same time and search whichever truth you are on to find the current post! I am a child of God ( John 1:12)

I have peace with God (Rom. 5:1)

The Holy Spirit lives in me (1 Cor. 3:16)

I have access to God's wisdom  (James 1:5)

I am helped by God (Heb. 4:16)

I am reconciled to God (Rom. 5:11)

I am not condemned by God (Rom. 8:1)

I am justified (Rom. 5:1)

I have Christ's righteousness (Rom. 5:19; 2 Cor. 5:21)

I am Christ's ambassador (2 Cor. 5:20)

I am completely forgiven (Col. 1:14)

I am tenderly loved by God (Jer. 31:3)

I am the sweet fragrance of Christ to God (2 Cor. 2:15)

I am a temple in which God dwells (1 Cor. 3:16)

I am blameless and beyond reproach (Col. 1:22)

I am the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13)

I am the light of the world (Matt. 5:14)

I am a branch on Christ's vine (John 15:1,5)

I am Christ's friend (John 15:15)

I am a join heir with Christ, sharing His inheritance with Him. (Rom. 8:17)

I am united to the Lord, one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17)

I am a member of Christ's body (1 Cor.12:27)

I am a saint (Eph. 1:1)

I am hidden with Christ in God (Col. 3:3)

I am chosen by God, holy and dearly loved (Col. 3:12)

I am a child of the light (1 Thess. 5:5)

I am holy, and I share in God's heavenly calling (Heb.3:1)

I am sanctified (Heb. 2:11)

I am one of God's living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5)

I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession and created to sing His praises (1 Pet. 2:9-10)

I am firmly rooted and built up in Christ (Col. 2:7)

I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me (1 John 5:18)

I have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16)

I may approach God with boldness, freedom, and confidence (Eph. 3:12)

I have been rescued from satan's domain and transferred into the kingdom of Christ (Col. 1:13)

I have been made complete in Christ (Col. 2:10)

I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit (Eph. 2:18)

I am assured that all things are working together for good (Rom. 8:28)

I am free from any condemning charges against me (Rom. 8:31)

I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God (2 Cor. 1:21, 22)

I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be perfected (Phil. 1:6)

I am a citizen of heaven (Phil. 3:20)

I am a personal witness of Christ's (Acts 1:8)

I am God's coworker (2 Cor. 6:1, 1 Cor. 3:9)

I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realm (Eph. 2:6)

I am God's workmanship (Eph. 2:10)

I can do all things through Christ, who gives me the strength I need (Phil. 4:13)

TRUTH 1 

Psalm 139 (NKJV)

 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.

 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;

  I think, before we begin, we have to begin here. At least for me. Please grasp this, and if you can not, pray that you will. He chose you, created you, before the earth was formed. He knew everything, your thoughts, your insides, your hairs, everything about you, even your sins! And still, He chose you before the creation of the world. You can run and hide, but He knows where you are. He can and will reach out to you in the darkest place you can find. In our good times, in our worst times, He is there with us. Even if we turn our back so we can not see Him, He is there. He thinks about you. Did you know that? I never thought about that. He thinks about you and me. He did not make a mistake with you. He made you exactly as He intended to. He chose you. He created you. He loves you. He thinks about you. He is King of this world, He is KING! And He loves you! 

    Now we can begin! 

TRUTH 2

1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

WOW! I don't know about you, but these truths are very powerful! Do you know that this verse is for you too! 

   Imagine this, you live in a country where there are Kingdoms and great Kings. You are but a lowly, poor peasant. One day, as you work hard to bring food home, the King himself comes to you and says, "I choose you! You will be a royal. You will be a part of My Kingdom. You will be my special person. You will no longer have to live in the darkness but in such great light. You were once a nobody but now you will be MINE! You don't owe me anything. Come as you are!

  Doesn't happen though right? 

WRONG!!!!!!!

   This is exactly what He is saying to us. Choose Him because He chose us!!!!! He wants us to live like this now and forever! NOW!!!! And forever! He wants us to move out of our depression, our darkness, and move into HIS great light!!!!! He wants us to live like a royal, HIS Royal. We are His!!!!! 

   I pray you will sit and think about this! I pray you will pray about it. I pray this will sink in. I pray that for me too. That I would fully understand this. AMAZING!!! What an amazing God we serve. What a God of LOVE! Thank you Jesus!!! 

TRUTH 3

Colossians 3:12

"Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering..."

   You, Christians, have been elected by God. He calls you holy. He calls you beloved. There is so much in Chapter 3 of Colossians. It would be a study in and of itself. I encourage you to read it, pray over it, and study it. 

   Really, in a short talk here, it would be impossible for me to portray what these  few words mean. Elect, holy, beloved. But, I will try my best. 

   Elect: He chose you. You didn't chose Him. He chose you. That means, He wanted you. It means, He knew your sins before you committed them and He still chose you. It means, nothing you do can un-elect yourself from Him.

  Holy: Dedicated and Devoted to God through the blood of His Son Jesus. We are not holy, but because of Jesus, we are holy in His sight. We are pure. We are clean. We are washed in the Blood of the Lamb. 

   Beloved: Oh how I pray you grasp this. Beloved. If you google it, the definition is "dearly loved", and "a much loved person". He dearly loves you. He loves you much. He knew your sin before you sinned and He still loves you. 

   How beautiful is the truth He gives to us. How beautiful is His love for us!
